33 years in business, Café Panache, an elegant BYO located in the center of downtown Ramsey, serves boldly flavored seasonal cuisine. Chef-Owner Kevin Kohler believes in freshness and simplicity of food. A building renovation in 2009 placed Panache prominently on the skyline of this small New Jersey town and added a front room and 30 extra seats. Tall windows across the front of the addition create a lighter, airier ambience in the new dining room, combined with warm hued walls of the existing main dining room allows for two very unique dining atmospheres. Experienced staff is courteous and professional and consistently attentive. Café Panache consistently receives Top Food and Top Service ratings from Zagat. On any given night, patrons could be regulars, which provides a uniquely friendly setting.

To The Kitchen...

The menu typically consists of eight to ten appetizers and eight to ten entrees, each element freshly prepared (or picked) by the kitchen staff that morning. Special requests are executed smoothly, although the inventiveness of each dish as prepared is something to be experienced. Some of Kohler’s signature dishes include Crispy Wasabi Halibut, Pecan Chicken Breast with Dijon Mustard Sauce or Braised Short Ribs with Dark Beer and Black Molasses.
